The Truth About Hypnosis
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is simply a state of relaxed focus. It is a natural state. Each of us enters such a state – sometimes called a trance state – several times a day: example when we are falling asleep, and when we are waking up. That fuzzy, timeless state between dreaming and being awake is a trance state. When a nine-minute snooze-button seems to give you enough time to have an hour-long dream, that is a trance state.
There are many other times that people enter a natural state of trance: Driving, watching TV, listening to music, working on a favorite hobby or activity in the “flow” state. These are all “altered states of consciousness,” and all are various levels of trance. Trance is healthy, natural and common.
The truth about hypnosis is that it is not a state of amnesia or no awareness: hypnosis is a state of very heightened awareness and focus. Do not expect to feel hypnotized; hypnosis is not some zoned out of body experience. Hypnosis is like meditation on steroids; hypnosis guides you to those powerful brainwaves that can take a meditator ten years or more to access.
Hollywood has perpetuated many myths about hypnosis, and not remembering anything from a hypnosis session is one of those myths. Only under special circumstances would a person forget everything from a session.
Much more can be accomplished when a person who is undergoing hypnosis remembers everything.
What should NOT be treated with hypnotherapy alone?
Serious psychiatric or mental health problems are referred to a qualified psychotherapist or psychiatrist. Medical problems with the physical body must always be treated by a physician, who can, at his or her discretion, prescribe hypnotherapy for pain control, hypno-anesthesia or relaxation.
Drug addiction, family dynamics disorders, clinical depression, and other such problems need to be treated by doctors and psychiatrists, who can, at their discretion, prescribe hypnotherapy as an additional treatment. We can work on these issues after a doctor’s written approval.
Always keep in mind that hypnosis is not a treatment or cure for mental illness. People who have psychosis, suicidal depression, or that are on medications for psychological stability should be thinking of hypnosis as a supplemental device to help with symptoms that arise from these things.
Will I bark like a dog or cluck like a chicken?
Not unless you pay us for that. Let me guess: you’ve seen a stage show where a hypnotist made people do all these crazy things. Or perhaps you have ideas from Hollywood movies. Many people wonder why those people on stage are acting silly? The participates on stage would never do anything against their morals or values. Barking like a dog or acting silly is not against their morals or values. Hypnosis cannot force you to do anything against your morals or values. In truth, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. The hypnotist is a powerful guide into the full power of your subconscious mind.
No hypnotist can make you do something that you do not want to do. That is why some people can be hypnotized to stop nicotine and yet they still smoke. First, you have to want the change, agree with the change, and then hypnosis is the most powerful instrument for helping make that transformation permanent.
Will I lose control?
Losing control is another Hollywood myth. You will always have control, and you can always hear what is going on. If at any time you are in a trance, and you wish to be fully awake, you can just count to yourself “1 – 2- 3” and open your eyes.
How is hypnotherapy different than affirmations?
Hypnotherapy has the advantage of being able to communicate and work with the subconscious mind, which processes three trillion bits of information per second. Affirmations do not facilitate direct responses from the subconscious; they only seek to speak to the subconscious.
A post-hypnotic suggestion is also different than an affirmation: the effects tend to be more direct, more specific, and are more immediate when using post-hypnotic suggestions. The language of hypnosis and affirmations is similar. Both are always expressed in the present tense, and always positive. If you ever meet a hypnotherapist that uses the words, “don’t smoke” as a direct suggestion, choose a different hypnotherapist.
I have advanced training in hypnosis, NLP, and coaching. I get core healing results at a permanent transformational level with my clients, with many 5-star reviews on Google+, Facebook, and Yelp.
Is Hypnosis dangerous?
Myths about hypnosis, perpetuated by Hollywood movies, urban legends, and fiction books lead people to think all kinds of things about hypnosis, including that it is somehow dangerous. Some people have heard that you can go into a trance and not wake up. Or that a hypnotist can make you do things you do not want to do. These things are untrue. You are always in control and emerge to full waking state at any time. The number one job of the subconscious mind is to protect you, and it is always on the job.
Will Hypnosis Work for Me?
Some people are natural challengers on things. Hypnosis works best for those who choose to accept and allow the suggestions to work for them, with a positive expectation. As long as you decide to do that, hypnosis will work well for you too!
What is NLP?
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It can be described as waking hypnosis. It is an incredibly powerful discipline that models some of the most successful therapists and hypnotherapists of all time who consistently got shockingly good results. These processes were broken down into their most simple elements that enabled others to start producing the same or sometimes even better results with people. Better because you are combining the best processes of many therapists all at once. In NLP terms this is modeling others success. Do what they did and you will get what they got. Anthony Robbins is one example of this. You can model a person in one area for instance, and if you model them well, you can produce the same results that they did. These results can be duplicated in all areas of life.
Why my hypnosis results stand out?
I do Real Hypnosis. I never water down my hypnosis with the latest fads, card readings, or crystals. I take real hypnosis seriously. I have nothing against those things, but I stick with functional, timeless, and cutting-edge hypnosis techniques that work. I do not psychoanalyze you or mix psychology in my hypnosis sessions in any way. Look at the statistics on our home page of hypnosis; you will see that 93% of clients experience recovery after just six sessions, and I do nothing but advanced hypnosis at Success WOW. Psychoanalysis has less than 38% client recovery after 600 sessions. I am 100% positive, and my sessions are built around building you up and never tearing you down.
On the first session, I will create a specific to you, preliminary 30-day plan for your success. Including in this, we will help you create an identity level shift in who you see yourself to be.
Also, any good hypnotherapist teaches self-hypnosis so you can keep the changes you make and even continue making your own after.
Please know that I am just as successful doing Skype or FaceTime sessions. I have successfully worked with famous people this way.
You are in good hands to the point I have been told I am the Anthony Robbins of hypnosis because I aim to give you Success WOW!
If you have ever been suicidal, please let me know. If you decide you are done with that, your first session will have you back on your feet!
Hypnosis is my life’s passion and work, and I humbly look forward to working with you and assisting you in your life transformation!
What can’t be treated with hypnotherapy?

What about treating drug addiction, clinical depression and the like?
I’m so glad you asked that, while drug addiction, family dynamics disorders, clinical depression and other such problems need to be treated by doctors and psychiatrists, they can, at their discretion, prescribe hypnotherapy as a supplementary treatment.
Have I Been Hypnotized Before? Probably
Remember that hypnosis is often referred to as a trance state. Thinking about being in a trance state and what that would be like, we know that there are many other times that people enter a natural state of trance. Driving, watching TV, listening to music, working on a favorite hobby or activity in the “flow” state. These are all “altered states of consciousness,” and all are various levels of trance. Trance is normal, natural and common.
How do I know you won’t hypnotize me to give you all my money?
This is one of my favorites! Simply answered, no. Hypnosis, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis when you get right down to it. No hypnotist can hypnotize you to do something that you really don’t want to do. That’s why some people can be hypnotized for weight loss and they stay the same or even gain weight. Others can be hypnotized to stop certain habits like stop nicotine and they keep on smoking. Hypnosis can not make you do something that is against your morals or ethics. You have to want the change, agree with the change, and then hypnosis is an instrument for helping make that change better, faster, and permanent. That’s the true power of hypnosis! It unlocks your potential and ability to achieve something that you already want and are willing to accept.
Isn’t Hypnosis dangerous?
Myths about hypnosis, perpetuated by Hollywood movies, urban legends, and fiction books lead people to think all kinds of things about hypnosis, including that it is somehow dangerous. How Can Hypnosis Help Me Stop Nicotine?
This is a great question! Remember, hypnosis helps you achieve the results that you already want to reach. Its like supercharging your subconscious and will with hyper focus. How many times have you said that you want to quit but find excuses not to, or it is too hard, or you don’t want to waste the money you spent on the last pack so you’ll quit after you finish that pack. The list goes on and on. We all know smoking is bad for your health. Hypnosis helps to unlock your reasons for quitting and gives your subconscious permission to come forward and take the wheel as you make this habit a non habit.
We believe so much that we can help you quit smoking that we offer a 30-day 100% money back guarantee on your sessions that you can quit smoking with the assistance of hypnosis.
