Faster than I thought

I have a confession; I used to be a serial procrastinator.  I had developed my procrastination into an art form.  I would work harder to avoid a task or event because of the energy it would require to complete the actual task.  I knew this was sick, twisted and a part of me being a major control freak.  When I met John at the SLC Hypnosis Center I was in self-actualized denial.  I knew I had a procrastination problem but I refused to deal with it.  I was procrastinating my confrontation with my procrastination. 

Thankfully I was able to pierce through this fog of apathy long enough to make my first appointment with John to use hypnosis to address this issue.  It was affecting every area of my life and I was seeing the negative effects leaking into my family life.  My wife and children were starting to feel it was effecting them and I realized that I needed help.

Let me go back to what I mentioned earlier, I am a control freak.  I did not realize it was an issue but just accepted it as a fact of life.  It was not until John was asking me questions to help me get to the bottom of my procrastination issue that I realized I was trying to lazily control the outcome of every aspect of my life. 

A root cause of my procrastination was a twisted sense that I could control a situation with less effort and work. By self-sabotaging my efforts and goals through procrastination, I thought I could achieve a specific result that I could predict with 100% certainty. 

I knew I could get over my procrastination and increase my productivity self-confidence, I just didn’t know how.  I had read books and watched programs on overcoming bad habits.  This was such a huge obstacle that I had given up several times before and was now procrastinating this issue again. 

Going to see John was the best decision I could have hoped for, he recorded several of our sessions. This helped me by allowing me to re-listen to the sessions.  I saw an immediate jump in my productivity and focus.  I was able to bypass the simple excuses that I used to use to give into procrastination.  Hypnosis definitely helped me as a direct result of working with John. I have almost doubled my income since we started working together as a result of hypnosis, this has allowed me to focus and eliminate my procrastination habit.
